### Cannot get into my site. Get a 502 Bad Gateway error. Tried creating new site. Same error. Have only loaded WP into both. Have restarted Local and computer. No help. Was able to get into the first site and load the theme and play with it a little. So it did work at one point.

_ **Security Reminder** _
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Sorry that you ran into this, @brianjacobson. Please see this thread about macOS 27 and removing old Intel binaries:

Im on a Mac using OS 27 (Golden Gate) What solved it for me was going into: ~/Library/Application Support/Local/lightning-services and deleting all the stuff in there (php versions, mysql versions etc etc), starting Local back up, and when you attempt to open a site youre working on in local, it will redownload the needed files and voila, it worked. Worth noting I have Mac OS 27 too. I should point out that I did not need to upgrade…

I tried this tip (also on OS 27) but to no avail. Strange thing is, I can view the site, and get into admin, and everything works, until I click on Dashboard or Appearance, then I get the infamous 502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.26.1 screen. Any other tricks up your sleeve?

Is this on a site you were previously working on @markllovett? Or does it happen if you create a new, blank site and try to access it?

Could you share your full Local Log with us here? If you click Help on your Top Bar and then Download Local Logs that will be what we’re looking for.

I had deleted a couple of old sites, then created a new site to test a new theme. This morning when I opened Local it updated PHP from 8.2.29 to 8.2.30 and magically everything worked. While I don’t imagine that is what actually ‘fixed’ it, I was able to upload the theme and I am now okay. Many thanks for your quick reply! (I’ll let you know if anything else pops up)

Okay glad to hear that things are working for now at least @markllovett! Definitely keep us posted if you have other issues or questions.
