Constantly getting 502 errors recently with xDebug + PHP (7 or 8) and LocalWP. XdebugError: command is not available at new Response (/Users/scottbuscemi/.vscode/extensions/felixfbecker.php-debug-1.14.12/out/xdebugConnection.js:77:19) at Connection. (/Users/scottbuscemi/.vscode/extensions/felixfb…

This reply isn’t relevant to the xDebug issue. However, I haven’t been seeing this issue as of late so it may have been resolved in a previous release.

Sorry, it’s a VSCode extension

I tried a VSCode extension and I’m still getting 502 errors. 2021/05/01 06:56:02 [error] 3049#0: *555 upstream prematurely closed connection while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: “GET /wp-admin/post.php?post=101175&action=edit HTTP/1.0”, upstream: “fastc…

Curious! Thanks for the reply. Any pointers on what to focus on tuning?

I tried bumping up the buffers/etc, but still get 502 bad gateway after hitting a breakpoint. This is when the 502s are happening, sorry for not specifying better before. I’m also seeing this in the debug console, but seemed to show up before the 502 rather than the cause of the 502: XdebugError: …

I always have to remind myself the specific messages for these 5xx warnings: 502 Bad Gateway The HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) 502 Bad Gateway server error response code indicates that the server, while acting as a gateway or proxy, received an invalid response from the upstream server. – 5…

It’s within 1-2 seconds of hitting the breakpoint that the site throws the 502. I don’t have multiple sessions open at once - but perhaps I have wp-admin open in the background which is running heartbeat? Is that multiple xdebug sessions or just multiple php sessions running at the same time?
