# Avast breaks ssl/https - just confirmed

### Issue Summary

AVAST AV BREAKS SSL/HTTPS - I JUST CONFIRMED IT, REMOVED IT, AND NOW ROCK AND ROLL (Going as fast as light now too).  
I just confirmed my total inability to have HTTPS on My Mac with any browser was 100% due to AVAST Antivirus. Even http caused me lots of troubles and I was about to give up completely!. Lucky I found the article on Local and I uninstalled Avast completely and WALLAH! IMMEDIATELY PERFECT SSL Working like a charm and everything is fast as can be too.

#### Replication

Remove Avast from your system if you want local SSL HTTPS.

#### System Details

Latest version of Local 618+5621

macOS BigSur
