Cannot find plugins to update in local files

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I am getting security errors for 2 plugins that I do not have. And I cannot find any files within my files that match the plugin. The errors are coming from my IT department with ArcticWolf.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Have you reached out to ArcticWolf to see if they can help with disabling the plugins or on how to troubleshoot the errors?

I have not, thats a good idea. If it helps the plugins are Webdorado and SpiderEventCalendar.

Are the errors like critical/fatal WordPress errors? Or are these coming from your device?

Could you share a screenshot?

I’ll see if my IT director can get screenshots of them. They are specifically ArcticWolf critical notifications.

Ah okay so your company’s internal security is flagging these on the site but you’re not seeing anything.

Have you only looked for any leftover remnants of these plugins within your WordPress dashboard?

Within Local, you can also try clicking on Site Folder. From there click on App>Public. Within that area you might look around and even continue to WP-Content>Plugins and see if there are any leftover files or folders that mention these plugins.

There might also be remnants in the database as well. So you could click on the Database tab in Local, open AdminNeo and try searching the DB also.

Correct. Sorry for the misunderstanding, these are from internal IT security.

I’ve gone through the site folder, the wordpress dashboard, as well as the database and there are no remnants of these plugins.

Okay got it! It sounds like following up with your IT team is the next best step then to get more clarification about what exactly is getting flagged. If you find any other context and need more help let us know!
