### What issue or error are you experiencing?

I cannot open local in my Mac Monterey. I have been using it for the past two years and never had and issue. I uninstalled if following the instructions, although I did not find the Local folder in ~/Library/Application Support. When I reinstalled it, the app appears in the dock but no other window.

### What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

* * *

### System Details

- **Local Version:** 9.0.3

- **Operating System (OS) and OS version:** Mac Monterey V 12.5.1

* * *

### Local Logs

Attach your Local Logs here ([Help Doc - Retrieving Local’s Log](https://localwp.com/help-docs/troubleshooting/retrieving-locals-log-file/))

_ **Security Reminder** _
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @ArtiGT

Have you installed or updated any other applications recently? Like security or developer applications?

If you search for Local’s Application folder using your finder does it turn up anywhere?

Is this a machine that’s issued by your employer? Or a personal one?

Are you downloading the Intel or Apple Silicon version of Local?

A personal one.

The Apple Silicon version. However I did try first the Intel by mistake and did not succeed either.

Do you have Rosetta 2 installed? [This will be necessary to run Local on Apple Silicon](https://localwp.com/help-docs/getting-started/installing-local/).

Does your machine still have enough available disk space?

Have you added any antivirus, security, or firewall applications that could be blocking Local?

Have you added any other developer applications? Apps like MAMP, XAMPP, or Docker for example.

A couple of other things to try:

Try running Disk Utility. This can verify and repair disk permissions and disk errors. Corrupted disk permissions can sometimes prevent applications from launching.

Lastly you could try running your machine in Safe Mode. You should be able to do it by holding the Shift key while it starts up. Safe Mode loads only essential system software, which can help identify and troubleshoot software conflicts.
