# Comments going to email but not on WP admin to verify

### Issue Summary
I have gotten email alerts telling me people have commented on my website but when I click to moderate them they are not present. I also do not see any listed on my posts page from web admin.

- Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

- Which version of Local is being used?

- What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
Ventura 13.2
### Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

@MissyJingles You’ve gotten alerts about comments on a site that only exists in your Local app?
If you start your site and go to `Tools` \> `Mailhog` \> `Open Mailhog` do you see anything in there?

I’m not using mailhog.
I have narrowed down my problem. I can see the comments when I log on to my live site - via the comment alert email and approve comments there. However they are not showing up from my local environment and if I make any changes and upload any website changes from the local environment, the comment approved from the live side get deleted.
How do I get the comments to show up on the local environment? and/or get the comments approved on the live site to stay?
