# Deleted old Cloud Backups, now Local fails to back up anything. Is there a way to reset what Local thinks is backed up back to zero?

Sorry about this, @zacatero. You can edit Local’s `sites.json` to remove references to the old backups. New backups should then work again. The steps to follow are here:
