### What issue or error are you experiencing?

Hello, local used to work well for me but now i’m running into all sorts of problems/errors. I deleted old version and did a fresh install.
I extracted the wp content file and database from zipped download of my website from wp host but that didn’t work. So i tried exporting database from phpMyAdmin and zipping that with wp content, that didnt work either. It seems to do everything and right at the end, says something about incompatible zip file and deletes everything its done

### What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

* * *

### System Details

- **Local Version:**
Version 9.2.2+6771
- **Operating System (OS) and OS version:**
macOS Montery
12.7.6 (21H1320)

### Local Logs

_ **Security Reminder** _
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @Linda1

If Local isn’t accepting the zip file you can use the steps here to do a manual import instead:

[Manually Import a Local Site](https://localwp.com/help-docs/getting-started/how-to-import-a-wordpress-site-into-local/#Manually-Import-a-Local-site)

Thanks Nick. I’ll give it a go.
Will it eventually work like it did before with zip or will I always have to do it manually? It was working all fine in December. But I have changed hosts since.

Tried that but when I opened site shell

I tried putting in the command `wp db import SCWORDPRESS-35303831181b.1733792275.sql` but I got more errors.

It looks like there might be an issue with your Command Tools that needs to be resolved. I found this which might be helpful:

You are very kind looking that up for me. Thank you. I did manage to install that x-code thing yesterday but the download was so long I also went ahead and tried your wp migrate lite which worked perfect.

Glad to hear that @Linda1! So you used WP Migrate Lite to create a full site export and that zip file imported without any problem?
