### Issue Summary

Just installed Local and won’t let me create a new site. It keeps saying Error Installing Wordpress and **command failed lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: \_\_\_\_chkstk\_darwin** I’m using MacOS High Sierra, tried all suggested solutions in previous unresolved topics, and even had a flywheel engineer/senior engineer unable to solve the problem.

_One or two sentence summary of the issue._

#### Troubleshooting Questions

- Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
yes

- Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
no

#### Replication

Describe the steps that others can take to replicate this issue. If you have screenshots that can help clarify what is happening, please include them!

#### System Details

- Which version of Local is being used?
6.6.0 mac

- What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

- Attach the Local Log. See this Help Doc for instructions on how to do so:

### Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @clnarbo

I left a response to your comment over on this thread:

> @clnarbo @brian2023 @a01300890 If you downgrade to PHP 7.3.5 do things work normally? This is likely an issue with your OS reaching its EOL and newer PHP versions aren’t being compiled for it.
