I’m running a multi-site site with Local on OSX using subdomains.

When I create a new site and try to go to it I get:

This site can’t be reached

newsite.rootdomain.local’s server DNS address could not be found.

How can I resolve this?

Try using a subdomain instead of .local
[dev.rootdomain.com](http://dev.rootdomain.com)
instead of
rootdomain.local

And probably the new sites will be reachable via
[newsite.dev.rootdomain.com](http://newsite.dev.rootdomain.com)
That’s just a guess, though.

Hi @mac,

You should see a button that says `Sync Multi-Site Domains to Hosts File` under the Setup tab for that site in Local. If you click that and provide your admin password you should be good.

P.S. Sometime down the road we’ll have a DNS server in Local so this isn’t required.
