If I needed to restore an installation of Local with all its containers and sites on a different Mac with Virtual Box on it, which files/folders would I have to restore besides everything under the default sites path?

Hi @dgma,

the best way would be attempt the following advice.

> **[How can I restore a site from a Local site folder?](https://community.localwp.com/t/how-can-i-restore-a-site-from-a-local-site-folder/1791)**
>
> Note: Local has come a long way since this was first posted and mostly just works for importing sites. Have a look at our help doc for more current information: https://getflywheel.com/wordpress-support/how-to-import-a-wordpress-site-into-local/ ...

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks,

Phill
