Importing a WPEngine backup - redirect issues

Hi all,
I’m importing a site from WPEngine to begin converting the theme to Storefront. I’m having two issues:

  1. the Admin is returning a too many redirects warning similar to Importing Backup from WP Engine Causing Redirect Loop

I’ve cleared cookies, and I checked the database table wp_options for the correct URL. There isn’t a plugin forcing https://, but even so, https:// hasn’t been an issue with other sites on Local.

  1. the View Site button ends up redirecting to the live site, not opening the .local site as it should.

Any help would be awesomely appreciated.
