Incompatible site error

What issue or error are you experiencing?

“Incompatible sites” error when selecting “Pull to Local” button.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

I created a new Local site with nginx, PHP 8.2.10, and MySQL 8.2.10. I tried to connect to the existing site on my Local site through Pull to Local. The existing remote site was listed under “Incompatible sites.” I followed the “More info” link to Local Connect - Local. This provided information on complete to connection to Flywheel but does not provide information relevant to “incompatible sites.”

System Details

  • Local Version:

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version:

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @likethegoddess

Usually, this happens because the hosted site is a multisite or Headless install, which aren’t compatible with Local Connect. Another reason this can happen is if something isn’t compatible between the two sites for example does the hosted site have the same PHP/MySQL versions?

Instead of pulling it into your newly created install can you go to the Connect tab and initiate a pull there?

Thanks. The site is neither multisite nor headless. There is no discrepancy with the tech stack version.

The method you are describing is the method I already tried. What is the other method I can use?

Never mind. I killed the Local site and started from scratch.
