Good morning from sunny Galway! I am installing my Local by Flywheel onto my MAC following glowing reports from a friend. The installation seems to be stuck at Local Image (installing). I am chomping at the bit to get started building! Help! ---

Dear Clay, I try desperately to install Local by Fmywheel on my PC but it seems stuck on “starting local machine”. What can I do? Thanks for your help ---

Hi there, I’m having the same problem. The install is stuck on installing the Local Image - macOS 10.12.6. I tried updating VirtualBox but no luck. Hi Clay: Thanks for your kind reply. Will have a look at the free space. It is possible it needs a good clean as it is very active. I am not sure if I need to open a new support topic for this, but I downloaded with success onto my laptop which is quite new. All went well and I added my first website, however, when I open to view site in Wordpress a new tab opens in Chrome but not sign of the site? I wonder is this a simple setting issue in my dashboard. @clay Hi Clay. The JSON file fix sort of worked but I needed to Restart Local Machine and then it does a Local Image Upgrade which it now gets stuck on - same problem as before. When I actually did get it running the Wordpress install failed as well. ---

Hi @VinnyBE, It sounds like you may be right-clicking on the Local VirtualBox shortcut itself. Enter and run the command below ( **Caution!** This command will remove the Local VM without confirmation. Only run this if you do _NOT_ have existing sites in Local. I found a solution for me when installation was stuck on local image. It was being blocked by the firewall. System Preferences\>Security and Privacy\>Firewall\>Firewall Options I had block all incoming connections selected. Deselect this I noticed many people having issues with stuck on local image. I wonder how many this is the fix for. ---
