# ISSUE: can't update plugins after updating local to latest version

Hey guys,

I was trying to update a plugin and getting this error  
`Update Failed: Could not create directory`  
I’v found this [post](https://localwp.com/community/t/updating-plugins-fails-after-2-0-1-upgrade/1612/14), but the settings mentioned there are no longer there any clue how to fix this
