Local 10.1.1+ no longer start on Ubuntu 24

Bug Summary

I recently updated Local 10.1.0 to 10.1.1 and I’m no longer able to start it from my installed applications. Nothing happens. Reverting to 10 fixes the issue.

Steps to reproduce

Install Local 10.1.0 on Ubuntu 24.04.

Run app and sites normally.

Update to 10.1.1 or 10.1.2 using `dpkg -i`.

Reboot app. Works the first time.

Reboot computer. Local no longer works. Doesn’t launch.

Environment Info

  • What Operating System are you using? Ubuntu 24.04
  • What versions of site software (Nginx, Apache, PHP, MySQL) is used? Apache 2.4.58, Mysql 8.0.46
  • What version of Local is installed? 10.1.1+

The chmod thing worked. I could update Local, reboot my computer, and now it starts normally.
