Is it normal that my Local Hub account shows the Cloud Backups Add-On if I’m using LocalWP version 10.1.2+? It seems LocalWP can backup to Google Drive just fine without me connecting this Add-On to Google Drive.
Wasn’t that add-on/Cloud Backups retired or am I misunderstanding something and I do need to use it by connecting it to my Google Drive account?
Yes, it’s still normal to see it there, @lucianpascu. However, you don’t need to worry about using it now since we’ve made Cloud Backups a native feature within the app. Currently, Local Hub is only necessary for utilizing Live Links, so unless you are trying to set up Live Links, you don’t really need to sign in. We are working on a way to revamp Live Links and potentially deprecate Local Hub completely. For now, though, these legacy accounts and features are still available.
So in order to make use of Live Links I must connect the Cloud Backups Add-on from my Local Hub account to my Google Drive account?
No. You just need to be signed into Local Hub to use Live Links. No other set up is necessary in there.
