Hi @Dorbens - Welcome to the Local Community Forums!

I’ve never tried running Local on a Chromebook, but that’s cool that you were able to get it to install.

Can you please provide your Local Log? See this Community Forum post for instructions on how to do so:

- [How do I retrieve Local’s Log?](https://localwp.com/community/t/how-do-i-retrieve-locals-log-file/3720?u=ben.turner)

At the heart of the problem is that you need to zero in on exactly why Local can’t edit the hosts file. If I were to guess, it probably has to do with Local not knowing how to ask for elevated privileges under a Chromebook.
