# Local not able to create new sites and lost some old ones since recent update

Hi,

I updated the software a couple of days ago when I saw the prompt, and I have since been unable to create new sites and I’ve even lost some of the old ones I had.

The error I see when I try to go to my old sites is:

**Local Router Error**  
**Our apologies for the inconvenience. The Local router is not able to connect to the site you requested.**  
**We suggest you try the following:**  
**Restart Site - Go to the Local by Flywheel app and restart the site you are attempting to access.**  
**Contact us - If the issue persists please contact us.**

When I try to create a new site, I get a red banner at the top with the text:

**Error!**  
**WordPress installation failed.**

In short, since the update, Local is unusable.

I would greatly appreciate any tips or suggestions.

Same here…never had this error before.
