Maybe it’s just my setup, but: Local tends to become really slow when I use WPs site editor. Even on small and simple sites, saving changes to a post after having changed settings that touch the Site Editor / site styling (here, right now: applying a style globally to buttons) takes between 30 seconds and 2 minutes.
Stopping and restarting the site usually takes everything back to its snappy self, but a) this isn’t always an option and b) it tends to become somewhat frustrating.
What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc
Make changes that apply globally to a Block theme and watch WordPress slow down to frozen molasses speed.

So this happens even on a new, blank site in Local?
What does your workload in Local typically look like? Do you have a lot of sites? Do you tend to run multiple at a time? Any sites that are abnormally large?

while starting to make a screen recoding to show the difference in speed between LocalWP and WP Studio, I probably stumbled on the culprit (and it seems so obvious in retrospect, of course): having FlyingPress cache plugin active by mistake slows working in the site editor to a crawl. Probably the poor caching is desperately trying to get its cloud-based master to respond and create a new optimized CSS file.
With FlyingPress off, things are zippy – I’ll have to try a much more intensive Multisite install later today, but suspect that FP might be the cause of a slow-down as well.
