I’ve updated the app and restarted it but the buttons to “Login” and “Connect To Flywheel” are completely unresponsive. So are a number of plugins. It seems a number of users are experiencing similar issues.

Sorry about this. Are you on macOS or Windows?
One thing that may help is resetting your system’s default browser.
Can you elaborate on this? Are you seeing issues with plugins in WordPress or in Local?

Thank you for your reply. The plugins are working fine on Wordpress but are completely unresponsive on Local. Luckily, the builder I’m using allowed me to pull the layouts to my computer or else I would’ve been screwed. Changing default browser, updating Local and restarting my computer appear to have had no effect.

I’m on Windows 10, by the way. This is really an annoying problem.
