# "No input file specified" on Apache installation (tested with non-WP site)

### Issue Summary

When creating a non-WordPress site with Apache and PHP version 7.4.1 (removing the WordPress files from the installation), accessing the site returns “No input file specified.” Nginx loads the site properly. However, when Nginx is running, .htaccess won’t work and rewrite rules return a 404 error.

#### Troubleshooting Questions

- **Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?**  
All sites that have been tested thus far.

- **Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?**  
Not with Apache

#### Replication

- Create a new site with Apache and PHP 7.4.1.
- (Optional) Delete WordPress files, and replace `.htaccess` with custom file
- Access in browser

#### System Details

- **Which version of Local is being used?**  
5.10.5+5403

- **What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?**  
Windows 10

- **Attach the Local Log**  
Logs don’t seem to report information regarding the site, but can send if required.
