Have searched this topic and it seems fairly common. Have to spin up an old WP site and PHP5.x isn’t available anymore in localwp for obvious reasons. This post [here](https://community.localwp.com/t/how-to-run-php-5-6-on-local-v8-and-above/44488) gives a promising workaround, but unfortunately I don’t have a copy of localwp with php5.x, and the oldest available [localwp 7.2.1](https://localwp.com/releases/7.2.1) doesn’t seem old enough to offer php5 as an option anymore. Google doesn’t offer links to older copies of localwp either.

Could someone help me out with a localwp for Windows install, or at least an archive of php5.x from %AppData%\Local\lightning-services ?

Much appreciated.

Nevermind, made a Local\lightning-services\php-5.6.9+0 myself that seems working; imagick works too. If someone interested can put a link to DL if the community rules allow it.

I’m glad you were able to find a solution @alx359! The Local team no longer has archives that far back to share. You’re welcome to pass along anything to anyone else that might be interested here. Our stance is simply that we no longer support anything that far back so it’s up to each user what they want to trust or test 🙂

I’m the OP on the write-up you linked to. Glad you were able to make your own copy. I have a copy of the php5.6 folder within Local’s Application support but I’m on macOS, so I’m not sure if that would work cross-platform.

Hi guys, thanks for your reply. [Here’s the link](https://mega.nz/file/LewgEDqS#8biOZCQf9MjqgGn2iZUMjv8YlZM7ZfHD3J30AdyNrAQ). Just copy the contents of php-5.6.9+0.zip to
%AppData%\Local\lightning-services and restart localwp. PHP version 5.6.9 should be among the options now. If not, read @v2theg post. Special efforts were made for Imagick to work. Tested with WP 3.2.1 (lol) and Win10x64.

@v2theg that’s a good idea. Suspect all the folders but /bin would be the same? Can diff anyway and see if there’s something odd I might have missed.

Wish a HNY.
