### What issue or error are you experiencing?

Before installing a new ssd drive on my Windows PC, I had a backup of my website so I can restore it later on my new drive. After doing that, my website is fully loaded but I get this error message in my WP dashboard :
_`All-in-One WP Migration is not able to create **C:\Users\HP\Local Sites\lbvet\app\public/wp-content\ai1wm-backups** folder. You will need to create this folder and grant it read/write/execute permissions (0777) for the All-in-One WP Migration plugin to function properly.`_

I tried to delete the ai1wm-backups folder and create a new one but that didn’t solve it.

### What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Zip the entire site folder and import it to a fresh local environement.

### System Details

- **Local Version:** Latest

- **Operating System (OS) and OS version:** Windows 10 Version 22H2

_ **Security Reminder** _
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

@zakariabenhadj

If you use Open Site Shell and WP CLI to view plugins do you see All in One still listed? Can you deactivate or delete it via CLI?

How did you restore the original site? Did you just drag and drop a zip file into Local?

Hi Nick,

Sorry, I’m a newbie here. What command should I enter in Site Shell to see plugins? and to deactivate them?

I zipped the entire site folder and drag and dropped it into Local.

No problem! Underneath your site name in the Local app you should see Open Site Shell. Once you have that opened you can run `wp plugin list` to see a breakdown of what plugins are installed and their status. `wp plugin deactivate pluginname` would be how you’d get one disabled.

You can use these links for reference as well!

Does deactivating it resolve the permissions error? If not you can try to delete it from there as well.

Yes, it resolves the error. But I need it activated.

Okay so per the error did you create a folder and grant it read/write/execute permissions for the plugin? Or did you just try removing/reinstalling the plugin previously?

I don’t know how to grant the folder read/write/excute permissions (0777).

Ah okay so you’re really starting fresh here! These types of issues are common on Windows, but it’s not really a Local specific problem. Here is a thread that might help you with some troubleshooting steps to get where you need:

Thank you so much! It’s resolved. Windows was inheriting permissions from a parent object and was displaying full control for that folder so I trusted it at first. But now I took ownership and changed them manually and it’s fixed. Can’t trust Windows anymore. Thanks again.
