# Technical error Windows when creating sites

### Issue Summary

Can’t create sites - error appears (screenshot)

#### Troubleshooting Questions

- Does this happen for all new sites in Local. Site not created

#### System Details

- Local version 6.4.3

- What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

- Attach the Local Log. See this Help Doc for instructions on how to do so:

Do you have any antivirus, security, or firewall applications that could be blocking Local?

@obuylov If this is the first site that you’re trying to create with a new Local install, you may be impacted by a known bug on Windows related to extended characters in your Windows username (the second character), and thus in the path to your Local sites.
