I guess the category “support” is for technical support and I am sorry if I am using this inappropriately, but I did not see another category that applies better.
Setting up Local with a test-site was a breeze, but after that I have been struggling for more than a month trying to get rid of four or five weird problems. For a few of them I tried to get answers on this forum, but after a few weeks I gave up. Eventually I tried a different software package, which I have been using now for about six weeks and I am quite happy with it. I do not want to bother you with details and I do not want to use this community forum to ‘advertise’ alternative software, so let me just say that I like the Local user interface and the fact that there is a serious organization behind it, but that Local on Windows configured with an Apache server and xDebug does not seem to be an optimum setup.
I have now de-installed Local and, in order not to leave any loose ends, I would like to close my account on the Local Community - which leads to my question: How can I close my Local Community account?
The thinking behind this is that if a user has contributed to a topic, then there would be significant value lost if suddenly those posts were removed.
If you’re sure that you don’t want an account on the Local forums, I can go ahead an anonymize your account and you can forget the password:
Just let me know that you definitively want your account anonymized!
I had not expected that your forum software requires posts to have a link to an actual user account but I checked the Discourse information you referred to, and this looks all right. Therefore I would appreciate if you would anonymize my account. Thank you for your help with this!
