# There doesn't seem to be a wp-config.php file. Create a Configuration File

### Issue Summary

**There doesn’t seem to be a `wp-config.php` file. I need this before we can get started.**

**You can create a `wp-config.php` file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.**

- Which version of Local is being used?

Latest Version

- What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?  
Windows 10

I had the same problem, but it works fine with the following actions.  
(1) Uninstall Local using the control panel  
(2) Restart my computer  
(3) Delete C: \ Users \ USER \ Local Sites  
(4) Delete C: \ Users \ USER \ AppData \ Roaming \ Local  
(5) Reinstall Local
