# This site can't provide secure connection error

### What issue or error are you experiencing?

front end of site shows but with untrusted ssl alert  
cannot access wp-admin due to ‘This site can’t provide secure connection error’

I tried switching to localhost in advanced settings but that didn’t work at all.

_ **Security Reminder** _  
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @jsros86

With Site Domains have you tried trusting the SSL and making sure the site is secure?

This error appears when a website doesn’t comply with the HTTPS protocol. This can happen for some reasons, including:

SSL certificate  
Outdated SSL cache  
Faulty browser extensions  
Antivirus or firewall
