Unable to Provision Site Help

Hi Team,

I am getting a slightly different error message after upgrading to local 10.1.0+6912 and now local 10.1.1+6939.

The error is as below:

My system is ZorinOS 18.1 Core

My logs:

local-lightning.log (91.7 KB)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

js

I also forgot to add that I have tried to create a brand new site, with blueprint and also upload all showing the same error.

I don’t have an issue running a site that is already in existence.

If you downgrade back below these release does it work normally for you @js26?

Could you also share a complete Local Log with us? If you go to the Help section (question mark, left hand side of the app and scroll down) you’ll see a Download Local Log widget.

Hi @Nick-B,
I tried downgrading back down to 9.2.9+6887, this was the last version that i remembered having no issues with but it doesn’t work.

Here are the full logs:

local-lightning.log (302.9 KB)

It would appear from the error maybe a directory was inadvertently removed during the upgrade process? But that’s just to me as a lay person.

Thanks
js

How many sites do you have in Local @js26? Would it be feasible to try a full uninstall and reinstall?

The steps would look like this:

  • Export any sites that you have on Local and save them to a folder somewhere on your computer: Backup a Local Site - Local

  • Fully uninstall Local from your computer following the steps for your OS here: Uninstall Local - Local

  • Install the latest version of Local on this link: Releases - Local

  • Once installed, please restart the computer.

  • When the computer is restarted and turned on, close any applications that automatically run in the background (AntiVirus, Firewall, and other Developer applications included).

  • Check and see if the issue still persists. If so, please provide us with an updated log: Retrieve Local’s Log File - Local

Hi @Nick-B ,

Thankfully i only have a handful of sites. Completed all the above steps but getting some new errors.

Logs:

local-lightningv1.log (2.2 KB)

I suspected that the above error (correct me if I am wrong) is the same as the current known bug of using the latest mySQL 8.4.

I tried custom install option using mySQL 8.0.35, PHP version 8.2.30 and that works.

Not sure what’s the error but seem to have fixed it by doing a full uninstall and reinstall as you suggested.

Any further insights from you will be great.

Thank you for the update, @js26! You are correct that the new error is related to the known bug with the latest MySQL version. If you’re able to switch to a lower version, that would be the best workaround for now. Are you good to go otherwise now?
