User name not found after SSL turned on

I’m not sure if it has anything at all to do with the SSL, but suddenly I can’t log in to one of my Local sites. It gives me the message of Error: The username my username is not registered on this site. If you are unsure of your username, try your email address instead.
If I try the email address I get an error as well:
Unknown email address. Check again or try your username.

I have looked in the database and the user is there in the WP users table. So I’m not sure why I can’t login. The only thing I did was to turn SSL on, and go through the process of getting a Mac to trust the certificate. I have restarted both the site and Local.

Any ideas? Thanks

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @djaeff

Could you try creating a new user and see if you’re able to get in using those credentials?

I made a new user and that worked, but I’m clueless as to why the old one stopped working.

Glad that you were able to get in!

When you open your site shell and use the command wp user list do you see all of the other users in there including the one that didn’t work?

I’m not certain on the root cause, but it’s possible something didn’t sync up right when the DB was imported. Maybe there was an error that caused the user list to not populate.
