# Windows (Lightning beta 5.0.4): WordPress installation failed

I’m not able to finish a WordPress installation with the new Local Lightning - Windows 10.  
“Error Installing WordPress for site-name” is the error.

Hi Gregg,

Thanks for trying out the Lightning beta!

Can you try downloading and running the two files below:

- [vc\_redist.x86.exe](https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe)
- [vc\_redist.x64.exe](https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe) (not required if you are running 32-bit Windows)

The links above are directly from Microsoft, but if you want to review what you are downloading, see [https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads)

Once you run those installers, you can try re-launching Local then creating another site.
