# WP Admin returns 404 error nginx/1.26.1

### What issue or error are you experiencing?

Hi, I have just downloaded Local to my Mac (Sequoia 15.5) and created a website. When I click WP admin I get a 404 Error nginx/1.26.1. I’ve tried force quitting and rebooting, creating a new website and get the same error.

### What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

as well as the WP Admin error, on database it says unable to find HOST, NAME, USERNAME and PASSWORD.  
I have tried changing the browser to Chrome but this didn’t help.

_ **Security Reminder** _  
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Could you try changing your Router Mode?

Preferences\>Advanced\>Router Mode
