Do the new versions have auto-save now?
Do I still need to “STOP SITE” in order for the database to be saved while developing sites locally?

Right now, stopping or exporting is still required for a database dump to be created in the site’s app/sql folder. We’re still planning out how we’ll implement automatic database backups.
