Chromebook (crostini) use linux browser

I’m using local on a Chromebook using the official linux integration (not the hacky solutions of old like crouton and what-not).

Local works great! When I open a site tho it tries to open it in my Chrome OS version of Chrome, and it doesn’t work. I have to open it in a browser that’s been installed in the linux container (which makes sense, as local was installed in the linux container).

Now, I don’t know how or why but before when I had Firefox installed in the linux container, Local would automatically open that when I click on “Open Site” or “WP Admin”.

Well I completely reset my Chromebook and reinstalled everything the other day for reasons unrelated to this, and instead of installing Firefox in the linux container I installed Chrome.

But now as I stated in my second paragraph, it opens in the Chrome OS Chrome, which doesn’t work. I have to manually open Linux Chrome and type in “rcp.local” or whatever site I’m trying to open.

  1. Ideally, it would be amazing if there was a way to make it work in Chrome OS Chrome.
  2. If that’s not possible, then how can I get it to automatically open the Linux Chrome instead of the Chrome OS Chrome?
