Database connection

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I can’t connect to the database.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

I start a wp instance vi Localwp UI and then I try to connect with the database. For that I use the link in the database tab. On the webbrowser I got in error message that the connection cannot create. The link to the database is http://localhost:10065/?username=xxxx&db=local I check with sudo netstat -ntlp | grep LISTEN that the localwp database is running on this port. Do you have any hints?

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Since you’re on Linux and trying to connect to the DB over TCP/IP, I think you’ll need to follow the steps in this FAQ:

I saw this Adminer Evo: localhost refused to connect Linux Mint ticket and I upgraded to 9.0.3. Afterwards it works fine again.

Hey @Dirk

I’ve shared this with the Local devs, and they’ve filed a bug for it. We don’t have an ETA on when this will be addressed, so for now, you’ll want to remain on that 9.0.3 version if that is working for you.

Hello Nick-B, yes it works for me. Thanks for your feedback.

Glad to hear it! When we do get a fix in place we’ll be sure to share an update here in the forums. We also post notes with each release of what’s included on our releases page here:
