Importing Multisites from Live to Local

Issue Summary

Does Local 6.6.1 and above support a more thorough method to import an old backup of Multisite to Local?
I have not had success trying a few methods, could you please share the current best practise for importing a (subdirectory) multisite?

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
    All multisites

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    yes

Replication

Old archives of Sub-directory Multisite.
In this one case, backed up with WPMUDEV’s Snapshot, but obviously all plugins on the site are now outdated and probably not compatible with newer php versions.
Wordpress version 4.9.4, PHP 5.2.4, MySQL 5.0.15.

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    6.6.1

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • macOS Monterey
