Is this Addon still needed?

Local Add-ons Xdebug + PhpStorm

I’ve been going through and updating various Addons, and wondering if users still need this?

The main reason that I ask is that we noticed that PHPStorm now has Zero Config Debugging, which seems to mean that I don’t need Local to add any config options.

That being said, PHPStorm isn’t my typical editor, so I wanted to check with the community to get an idea for if I’m missing something that this Add-on is doing. Thanks for your ideas and insight!

For me the plugin is needed to easily enable xdebug in the php environment Local loads in. But I’m honestly still trying to fix the annoying bug it always first loads local-bootstrap.php, making me use the plugin less and less.

i had the same problem, and a friend helped me with it in a few simple settings changes.
im sorry i dont remember what he did, but it could be fixed!

xdebug and general debugging in PHP is so confusing to me, especially when its on wordpress within local.
i think im using this plugin and not the “zero config” version, but i honestly dont know…
