(Linux) error connecting to database after moving home directory to new installation

After migrating to a new Linux setup all my localsites are showing “error connecting to database errors”

After migrating to a new Linux setup all my localsites are showing “error connecting to database errors”. The operating system is the same the only difference been an updated version and the latest version of Local.

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

All sites

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Yes, new site works fine but all older sites aren’t

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    5.10.3+5332

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional

Kubuntu (latest release)

Did this this start happening during an upgrade of Kubuntu?

Can you try restoring the site to a new one in Local? You can use a backup of the site, or try using the files for the site by following the steps outlined in the “Restoring From Only Local Site files” section of this help doc:

Thanks very much Ben, happened after upgrading but copying the files and importing seems to have fixed the site right away.
