I’m running Ubuntu 20.04 using Parallels on a M1 MacBook Pro. It would be great to have a version for Ubuntu that uses ARM64 architecture.
I am also running Ubuntu on Parallels on a Mac. It would be nice to have this option. However, I REALLY want Local for Ubuntu Arm64, because I also run Ubuntu on a RasPad (Raspberry Pi Tablet), and this would make my tool kit nice and compact.
It’s not just for Mac or Rapsberry Pi anymore… I use Local on Windows via WSL2 and it works great, but when I tried to install it on a Windows Co-pilot laptop it failed, because the laptop, and therefore the WSL Ubuntu, is on ARM.
Commenting with the response I left in your other thread @gsarig
BTW, a follow-up on your reply, just to share a thought that perhaps Linux support is more important than native Windows support, as the Windows app works with the emulator so there is a workaround, but on Linux I’m not sure if there is a way to make it work on ARM.
Thank you for the follow up @gsarig! I’ll pass this along to the dev team.
Early I didn’t understood how competitors could know what I was doing or will doing, my future plans, but now I can protect myself from system hacking.
I work for a big company now, and I use Orange Pi 5 plus and Arambian (Debian based ARM64) with no bios and an additional firewall on NanoPI R4S with Opnsense/IDS Suricata to protect my processes and data.
But i can’t run my favorite soft as LocalWP for local WP development on Debian 12 ARM64 or Ubuntu 22.04 ARM64
User manual how to protect Intel PC for most popular bios backdoor that provide full controll of your system and remote screen sharing and monitoring of you PC:
I think just buying of Orange Pi 5 plus without bios or equvalent, It will be the simple solution for most users
Dear community could you pls push LocalWP development team for LocalWP adaptation to Debian 12 ARM64 or Ubuntu 22.04 ARM64 or Arambian
BR,
Viktor
I’m also waiting for this I would love to use LocalWP on my tablet running on Linux arm64
