Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

After some tinkering, I got it working.

These are the steps I took:

  1. Disabled Windows Antivirus and reinstalled LocalWP.

  2. In C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, I made sure the hosts file and the etc folder were not set to Read-only, so LocalWP would have the necessary permissions to modify them.

  3. Ran LocalWP as Administrator.

After completing these steps, I was able to create a site successfully and run it.
