Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @richardkrone

This is expected behavior until we complete some work for this. For now a bit of manual configuration is necessary. Here are some steps shared by a recent user:

Hello Nick-B:

Thanks for the response. I see that the 3 packages mentioned are non-repo packages as well. I was hoping to avoid the outside package install issue.

I just tested the latest Deb on a fresh Linux Mint install and see that the issue persists a month after report.

Is there a plan to fix the issue?

Best,
Richard

Hey @richardkrone, yes, this is still on the roadmap for our team to address, but our Developers have had to prioritize some other items. Since this issue only impacts a small number of users (the majority of Local users are on Windows, then MacOS) and there are workarounds, we aren’t able to give it a firm ETA yet for resolution.
