Modifying fonts and layout defaults in Twenty Twenty-Four Theme

I’m setting up my first site. I’m using Twenty Twenty-Four Theme to begin assuming that would give me the most design flexibility. When I go into Theme>Styles>Typo and change font, it doesn’t stick. Same with Layout> change paragraph width from 620 t0 960. What few steps should I take now to control the balance (or stop the conflicts) between Editor and 20 24 Theme? Thanks

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @pcardell!

This is the most common reason changes don’t stick is usually not saving in the right place. Make sure you’re saving in the the Site Editor (Appearance > Editor), after changing typography or layout:

  • Click the Save button in the top-right — not just navigate away
  • It will show a checklist of what’s being saved; confirm it includes “Styles”

Have you installed any plugins yet? Certain plugins might be holding on to cache as well that need to be flushed.
