Problem with importing database

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I’m all new to this. I have followed the guide for manually importing from my backup. I have replaced the wp_content folder and I have imported my database sql-file running the required commands in site shell and that seems to be successful “Success: Imported from ‘sak77_dk.sql’“.

However, when I go to my wp-admin nothing is imported from my database. No pages, no media BUT all my plugins are there, which makes me believe that it is actually looking in the right database.

Where do I go wrong?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

I managed to solve this by exporting from Elementor on my online site and importing that zip-file on my local site

Hey @Terkelsen , welcome to the Local forums!

I’m glad you got things working!

I’m not 100% sure, but what you’re describing sort of sounds like a slight difference between the table prefix used within the DB and what the configured table prefix is within the wp-config.php file.

When you use Local’s importer (like when dragging-and-dropping a zip), Local handles many of those kinds of edge cases for you.
