Using Local to Install Craft

I know Local was created specifically for WP, but I was told that I could also use it for static sites and other CMS installs. I’ve replaced all the WP files with Craft files, but I’m getting a DB connection error.

Has anyone here tried to use Local to install Craft? If so, did you have any problems? Database issues?
