Which folder to create Git repo in?

Issue Summary

Hi,

I’m in the process of getting GIT setup with Local for version controlling local dev.

I’ve read conflicting things regarding where you should create a git repo when using Local and Flywheel.

Some places suggest that you should create the repo at the root of the WP install and gitignore everything except the /wp-content/ folder and it’s subfolders and files. On the other hand, I read here https://css-tricks.com/css-tricks-on-flywheel/ the the core WP file are locked by FW and the WP-Content folder should be the root of the repo.

Any help or direction of this matter would be gratefully received.
