WP configuration issue with "wp-config.php" file

Hi, my name is Gabriele.

When creating the first site it gives me the following error:

after the error the site is created anyway and when I open it I get this page:

I have already tried to reinstall everything by deleting the files previously created in the various folders used by Local and I also tried to suspend my antivirus and use the Windows one by giving permissions with Windows Defender Firewall to Local.

Hi @Gabrielee

If you change your Router Mode to Localhost are you able to proceed? Preferences>Advanced>Router Mode>Localhost

Nothing to do, after changing the setting to Localhost it still gives me the same problem configuring the “wp-config.php” file.

Could you provide some more details to help us take a further look?

  • What is your OS?

  • What version of Local are you on?

  • Please attach a copy of your Local Logs

Keep us posted and we’d be happy to help further!

OS: Windows 11, version 23H2
Version of Local:

Local Logs:
local-logs.zip (9.3 KB)
Thanks.

In order to refresh here and start with a clean slate could you give the below troubleshooting steps a try?

  • Export any sites that you have on Local and save them to a folder somewhere on your computer.

  • Fully uninstall Local from your computer.

  • Install the latest version of Local on this link. - Try right-clicking the installer and “Run as administrator” just to make sure that installer can get everything it needs in place without permissions issues.

  • Once installed, please restart the computer.

  • When the computer is restarted and turned on, close any applications that automatically run in the background. Make sure that any antivirus, security, or firewall applications are not blocking Local.

I followed all the procedures but I still get the error when creating the site.

Hello @Gabrielee -

Looking at your username, I wonder if you’re running into this known issue:

It looks like this error may be due to a special character in your Windows username.

Can you try creating and using a user directory without extended characters?

Thanks!

Sam

Hi, I just completed renaming my user directory and everything went well, my site is now up and running.
Thank you very much for your great help, I wish you a good day.
