Add Windows system tray support

As a user of Local by Flywheel I’d like to have the ability to minimize/close the program into the system tray as opposed to the taskbar.

Agreed! This is something we’re heavily considering.

Thanks for the feedback.

Guys please can we have this simple feature added? As any other developers my workflow includes many different windows and it’s really annoying that I can’t hide an interface which I need to use literally once when I start the machine.

Please! :frowning:

I can’t believe this still hasn’t been added. Having one less window you in your developer workflow matters so much!

Created an account specifically to comment on this. Please implement this simple but extremely convenient enhancement to streamline our workflows. Thank you.

I’m sure this handy feature will make it more comfortable to use. So we are all waiting.
Please do so at last, or I will return to MAMP

Any news on this?

I don’t have any new news on this. It probably won’t be worked on in the near future as the team is focused on improving the existing core experience of Local.

For this function I use “Actual Window Manager”.
For this to work you have to activate the title button AltMin and move it by -1 (Under "Special settings)
Then, when you click on the “Close” cross, the program is minimized to the tray.
But of course it would be easier if this was implemented natively.
