Adminer SQL import memory exhausted

hi there,
i’m pretty sure this has been posted about before, but if you can help point me in the right direction please - that’d be great.
this is the error i get when trying to import a 30MB SQL file into an existing WP DB.

Fatal error : Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 264241184 bytes) in /Applications/Local.app/Contents/Resources/extraResources/adminer/adminer.php on line 95

i did find this post, but had zero luck trying this approach.
can’t i just increase the php memory limit somewhere?
