Issue Summary

Can a site be accessed on a laptop and a desktop?

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Replication

Created a site on my laptop then purchased a desktop. Need to access the site from both computers, but as of now, can only access from laptop. Tried to move folder, but that didn’t work.

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used? 6.1.8+5621

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • _macOS_Monterey Version 12.0.1

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

You can’t run one site on two servers, but you can make a site accessible from other computers by using Live Links. Unfortunately, there’s currently a certificate issue breaking that feature, but it should hopefully be resolved soon.

Thank you for your response. Is there any way to know when the “certificate issue breaking that feature” will be resolved?

The team have shared that they’re working on a solution in the topic I linked to above, so probably best to subscribe to that for updates, or just watch out for any releases in the coming days.
