Changing the date to test time based workflows

I’m using Local free 5.7.2 on Windows 10 Pro to make some changes on a dev version of my site.

I have some workflows that are date based and I would like to test if they are working correctly.
Is there a way within Local or WP that I can temporarily change the date so that WP will kick off those tasks?

Or do I just have to change my system time to simulate the date change?
